Stable isotope data from Fennoscandian lakes collated in COLDWEBS project

This dataset is collected and compiled by numerous partners in the COLDWEBS project (see project details below). The data includes information about the study locations (i.e., lakes in Norway, Sweden and Finland) and samples of fish individuals and lower trophic levels collected for stable carbon and nitrogen isotope analyses (δ13C, δ15N). The dataset will be used for example to investigate how natural biogeographical gradients (e.g. lake morphometry, climatic conditions and fish community composition) and human disturbances (e.g. hydropower-induced water level fluctuations) affect the structure and function of food webs in Fennoscandian lakes, with a primary focus on cold-water subarctic and alpine lakes and their salmonid fish populations.

Project/data name: COLDWEBS data (Academy of Finland #340901; https://converis.jyu.fi/converis/portal/detail/Project/68198970?auxfun=&lang=fi_FI)

PI responsible for data management at JYU: Dr. Antti P. Eloranta, Academy Research Fellow, University of Jyväskylä (JYU), Finland

Location of study lakes: Fennoscandia, including Norway, Sweden and Finland
