Gamification has become progressively more popular in corporate use during the last couple years. This is a literature review on the subject of gamification. The purpose of this review is to find insight about the usage of gamification in corporations outside of marketing. Gamification is based in the use of mechanics that produce different dynamics that benefit the player and the company. Many companies have succesfully utilised gamification but research shows that gamification can also cause harm both to the company itself and it's employees. Gamification has been recently critizised for it's potential for abuse but no conclusive evidence to prove this hasn't been found.
